Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 29, 2026
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide when you create an account, use VibeWrite, connect storage providers, or contact us. This may include your name, email address, account identifiers, document titles, document content, formatting data, comments, prompts, edit proposals, and support messages.
2. Connected Accounts and OAuth
VibeWrite uses OAuth providers, including Google and Stytch, to help you sign in and connect external AI tools. When you authorize VibeWrite through ChatGPT, Claude, Codex, or another MCP-compatible client, we receive and validate OAuth information needed to connect that client to your VibeWrite account. We do not expose your OAuth tokens to the AI client.
3. Google Drive Documents
If you connect Google Drive, VibeWrite may read, create, update, and store VibeWrite document files in your Google Drive account so the editor and authorized connector tools can work with your documents. We use Google Drive access only to provide document storage, retrieval, sync, creation, and editing features you request.
4. AI Connectors and MCP Tools
VibeWrite provides an MCP server that lets authorized AI clients list your VibeWrite documents, read document content, create new documents, and submit reviewable edit proposals. Edit proposals are not silently accepted by VibeWrite; they are shown in the VibeWrite editor so you can accept or reject them.
5. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide, maintain, secure, and improve VibeWrite; authenticate users; connect authorized AI clients; sync documents; show reviewable diffs; provide customer support; and send important service updates.
6. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers that help us operate VibeWrite, including authentication, hosting, analytics, database, storage, and connected account providers. Authorized AI clients receive the document data and tool results needed to fulfill your requests after you connect VibeWrite to that client.
7. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted transport, access controls, and scoped OAuth permissions. No system is perfectly secure, and you are responsible for choosing which third-party AI clients you authorize to access your VibeWrite account.
8. Data Retention
We retain account information, document metadata, document content, edit proposals, and connected-account records for as long as needed to provide VibeWrite, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may request deletion of your account or personal information by contacting us. Some backup, security, or audit records may be retained for a limited period before deletion.
9. Your Choices and Rights
You can choose whether to connect Google Drive or third-party AI clients. You may revoke access through the relevant provider settings or by contacting us. You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at the address below.
10. Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate authentication, maintain sessions, understand product usage, and improve the service. You can control cookie settings through your browser preferences, but some features may not work without them.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the last updated date. Your continued use of VibeWrite after changes become effective means you accept the updated policy.
